임지현 작가는 다양한 색을 엮어 화면을 구성한다. 간단한 규칙을 설정하고 색을 쌓고 스며들게 하여, 그려진 것들의 만남과 관계를 주도한다. 한 색이 나타나면 형태는 변하고 구도는 재설정되며, 새로운 관계성이 만들어진다. 이렇게 그려진 그림은 서로 얽히고설키는 과정을 통해 직조, 변형되는 세상을 은유하며, 동시에 다채로움을 유지하면서도 조화를 이루는 방식을 탐구하는 작가의 태도를 드러낸다.
Im Jihyun weaves together a variety of colors to construct the canvas. By establishing simple rules and layering and allowing colors to seep, relationships and encounters between the painted elements emerge. As each color appears, forms shift, compositions are reconfigured, and new relationships are created. The resulting works metaphorically reflect a world in constant interweaving and transformation, while also revealing the artist‘s approach of exploring harmony amid diversity.
